Doctor Lorena Del Pilar Bonilla is an Ecuadorian American born and raised in New Jersey. She teaches Family Medicine resident physicians, medical students and International Foreign Medical Graduates who complete an observership with her. As core faculty of the BHSF Internal Medicine Residency Miami she will lead the well-being curriculum. She is a co-founder of Doctors for Camp Closure in Florida and collaborates with multiple immigrant advocacy groups to increase awareness on the health of immigrants in detention. She has served as a Regional Advisor to the Southeast Regional Latino Medical Student Association teaching on wellbeing, burnout, and immigrant advocacy.
