Joana Baquero is a Global Marketing Leader with over 20 years of experience in the consumer goods industry and is currently the Senior Director for Health & Wellness brands in Global Marketing Oral Care at Colgate-Palmolive. Her work has centered on driving enterprise-level growth, steering complex organizational transformations, and leading high-performance multinational teams managing P&Ls of up to $1 billion. Joana specializes in strategic brand turnarounds and sustainable innovation, having successfully reversed a multi-year decline for a $700 million Personal Care portfolio and pioneered innovation across the Home & Personal Care sectors in Europe, Latin America, and North America. Beyond her corporate leadership, Joana is a passionate advocate for individuals with rare bleeding disorders and serves as a board member for the Hemophilia Association of New York. She is the author of the autobiography Driven by Hope: A True Story of Defying All Odds and has spoken at notable events, including the 2018 World Federation of Hemophilia (WFH) Congress in Glasgow and the Steven Margolis Conference in New York. In 2022, she delivered a TEDx Talk titled "Resilience: A Mindset for Everyday Life." Joana holds an MBA from Cornell University and has completed executive leadership programs at Stanford University.
