Evelina Cabrera is an Argentinian coach, author, and social impact leader committed to advancing equity through sports and education. She founded the Argentine Women’s Soccer Association (AFFAR), created the first blind women’s soccer team in Buenos Aires, and launched inclusive sports programs in women’s prisons. In 2021, she became the first woman to join the coaching staff of a men’s professional team in Mexico.
Her global recognition includes being named a rising leader by The Economist, Argentina’s Social Entrepreneur of the Year by Ernst & Young, and one of the 100 most influential women in the world by the BBC. In 2022, she was the Ambassador of the 1st European Women’s Soccer Gala organized by Mundo Deportivo.
Evelina has spoken at the UN Youth Assembly, the W20 Summit, and serves on the jury for UNESCO’s Prize for the Promotion of Tolerance and Non-Violence. She served as Goodwill Ambassador for Equity in Sport for the Organization of American States (OAS) until the end of 2024. She is currently a board member at LA SCORES and leads The Chicas, a program that empowers women through sports and educational workshops.
