
Claudia Alarcón is an interdisciplinary scientist, science diplomat, and social innovator working at the intersection of emerging technologies, education, and global collaboration. With over nine years of international experience, she specializes in connecting science, policy, and society to create solutions that address complex global challenges.
Claudia currently contributes to advancing discussions on open science, research innovation, and the future of knowledge systems through her work with Frontiers and the World Economic Forum.
Previously, at the Inter-American Institute for Global Change Research, she supported science-policy collaboration across 19 countries in the Americas, fostering partnerships among researchers, policymakers, and societal stakeholders.
Her work extends beyond institutions. As the founder of Ciencia Sí, she has championed initiatives that expand access to STEM education and innovation opportunities for young people across Latin America and its diaspora. Throughout her career, she has collaborated with scientists, educators, governments, startups, and international organizations to promote more inclusive and impactful science.
